The Beginning...

I am a little late in beginning this blog, as I started this project in late March. I decided to take over the back plot of land, approximately 20 by 40 feet at my house in Astoria, and make a garden. These pictures show what condition it was in when I inherited the space. Hours and hours of weeding, tilling soil, disposing of waste and junk, and setting the bricks by hand at 630 am before work. (I found enough bricks within the garden itself to make three paths and a sitting area, which has no chairs, so its more like a standing area)
